The wind-driven Alisal Fire burning along the Gaviota Coast was pushing westward Thursday, leading to more evacuation orders and warnings in the area. 

Smoke from the blaze could be seen from all over the region, and the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District issued an air quality alert this week
