A 41-year-old man has been named as the motorcyclist killed in a two-vehicle crash last week in Lompoc.
Joshua Cullors of Lompoc died in the Thursday morning crash, Sgt. Scott Morgan of the Lompoc Police Department said Tuesday.
At approximately 11:20 a.m., Lompoc police officers and firefighters responded to the 1100 block of East Ocean Avenue due to reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
Upon arrival, officers and firefighters discovered Cullors had sustained severe injuries, Morgan added.
Emergency personnel provided medical care for him, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.
A passenger in the vehicle received minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment.
A GoFundMe page, Help Us Celebrate Joshua’s Life, had raised more than $3,500 as of Tuesday afternoon.
The crash occurred a day after their son’s birthday, according to Cullors’ wife, Brittanii Cullors.
“Unfortunately, myself and his family are not currently in a position to cover all the costs of his services, so we’re asking for any kind of help so we can put Joshua, my husband, to rest,” she wrote.
“Joshua was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it, so we’re asking for the same kindness,” she added.
Proceeds from the GoFundMe will go toward his cremation and celebration of life, and trying to get his siblings to town for the service, with any additional funds going toward their two children, she said.
