San Marcos girls golf put together a strong team performance in a league win over Rio Mesa on Tuesday at Sterling Hills’ par 35 course.
“We had a great day on the course today,” San Marcos coach Sarah Ashton said. “None of the girls have ever played Sterling Hills today, so to see such low scores at a new course was really impressive.”
Sadi Adams and Talia Cummings each tallied a personal best of 42 to lead the Royals to the win.
Meanwhile, Campbell Thayer and Chloe Bellamy joined them in the sub-50 club with scores of 44 and 48, respectively.
Rounding out the San Marcos golfers were Simrin Singh (51) and Karenna Saleh (57).
San Marcos (8-1, 3-0 Channel League) will face off against Santa Barbara High in a rivalry matchup on Thursday at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
