Dos Pueblos’ Denver Douglas shot a 1-under 71 at Soule Park in Ojai Friday to take medalist honors in a 376-365 win over Nordhoff.
Douglas finished the round with five birdies.
Colt Roberts was next with a 75.
“He was off to a tough start and was able to re-focus and go 1-under on the back nine,” Charger coach Kevin Ahlers said.
“Soule Park is par 72, and from the tips is 6800 yards and was playing very favorable,” Ahlers said.
The Chargers are now 8-1 overall and remain 4-0 in Channel League play. They travel to Pacifica on Tuesday at River Ridge.

Shams Jahangir-Arshad was the medalist for San Marcos with a 2-under 70 at Sandpiper, but the Royals suffered their first loss of the season to visiting Valencia, 390 to 396.
“Shams had a very solid round to shoot 2-under and earn medalist honors, but we didn’t have our best day as a team and ended up losing to Valencia by six strokes,” San Marcos coach Jeff Ashton said. “Hopefully we can use the loss as motivation and get back to work to finish our season out strong.”
