Providence girls beach volleyball fell on the road to Thacher by a score of 3-2 on Monday.
The Patriots were down to just three pairs in the matchup due to injuries and sickness, forcing them to forfeit the No. 4 and No. 5 pairs.
However, Providence took two of the three matches that were played.
“Really fun match today,” Patriots head coach Taylor Slover said. “Perfect weather and the girls won two of the three matches we were able to play, which is super encouraging.
“We almost won the match, even with the forfeits. The girls really did fight hard.”
Providence will be on the road against Dunn on Thursday.
