Providence made its girls grass volleyball debut and dropped a 25-17, 25-17, 25-12 decision at a windy Cabrillo on Saturday.
“The Providence athletes have shown rapid improvement in just the little time that they have had to practice together,” said coach Suzie Garacochea. “There is so much talent on this team. We are going to continue to work together to bring out the best in each other. This first game was a great preview of what is to come.”
The Patriots will play at Carpinteria on Monday, host Cabrillo on Wednesday and finish the season at Bishop Diego on Saturday.
