The VCCCS on Oct. 19 will transform the streets of downtown Solvang into a showcase of automotive history. More than 200 restored and customized vehicles are expected to participate, including hot rods, sports cars, muscle cars, and special interest vehicles, and will compete for coveted prizes.

Event highlights:
· Gala Dinner is Oct. 18 at Mendenhall’s Museum of Gasoline Pumps & Petroliana in Buellton. Includes Santa Maria-style barbecue, wine, beer, silent and live auctions. Tickets are $100/person.

· Car Show is 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 19 in downtown Solvang, with free admission to the public. The awards ceremony will be late Saturday afternoon at Solvang Park.
