Rev. Anne Harris

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anne Jane Harris, a devoted wife, loving mother, and spiritual guide, who died peacefully on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025, at the age of 92, surrounded by her three children.

Born in England in 1932, Anne’s life was one marked by deep love, selfless service, and unwavering faith.

From an early age, Anne exhibited a remarkable willingness to help others, always volunteering her time and energy to any cause that needed support. Whether through community outreach, church events, or family activities, her compassion and dedication knew no bounds.

Anne’s spirit of generosity and kindness touched everyone she encountered, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew her.

Above all, Anne was a devoted wife to her beloved husband Harry and children.

In her later years, Anne felt a profound calling to serve in a new and transformative way. She became an ordained Episcopal deacon, dedicating herself to the service of others through her faith.

For many years, she served several churches with grace, humility, and an unwavering commitment to helping others find peace and solace through spirituality.

Anne’s legacy is one of love, faith and service. She leaves behind a world made better by her presence and the countless lives she touched. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Anne is survived by her husband Harry; their three children Josephine, Michael (Victoria) and Keith (Michelle); her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Her kindness, wisdom and devotion will live on in them, and in the memories of all who were touched by her loving presence. Anne’s love will forever be etched in the hearts of her family, friends, and congregation.

The family wants to particularly thank the physicians and staff at UCLA Health inSanta Barbara; the kind and caring physicians, nurses and staff at Cottage Hospital; and the loving staff at VNAs Serenity House.

A memorial service celebrating her life and legacy are yet to be determined, details to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to VNA Health at https://VNA.Health.
