United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County (UBGC) is still hearing the buzz around the sold-out 2019 Rally 4 Kids event that took place in the spring. Now, UBGC is urging community members to save the date for the 2020 Rally 4 Kids on Saturday, April 25.

“I go to Cars and Coffee almost every Sunday, and it is rare when I go and someone doesn’t come up to me and rave about the rally this past year,” said CEO Michael Baker. “Monte and Maria Wilson head an incredible committee that makes this event better and better every year.”

Michael and Misty Hammer, strong supporters of UBGC, opened their Car Garage to UBGC members for a tour. The couple showed the members around, answered questions about all the cars and Michale Hammer shared stories of what each car meant to him.

The Hammers with The Armand Hammer Foundation sponsored two vans for UBGC to transport members from school to the clubs and on field trips. The vans display the Armand Hammer Foundation and UBGC logos.

“These vans allow us to reach and transport those youth that need our services the most,” Baker said. “Every day youth from the most challenging circumstances are transported to and from our facilities for free.”

“Misty and I are honored, together with The Armand Hammer Foundation, to be the title sponsor for the 2020 year for this incredibly impactful organization,” said Michael Hammer in an interview.

Hammer, with The Armand Hammer Foundation, has been the title sponsor for the last six years and will be the title sponsor for the 7th Annual Rally 4 Kids in 2020.

“We are incredibly excited to come back to co-chair the 2020 Rally 4 Kids,” said the Wilsons. “Due to the support of the community, this event has grown to new heights and allowed the United Boys & Girls Club to reach more kids in our area than ever before.

“We’ve got some great, new ideas in 2020 that we hope will keep the event fresh, fun and something that people will want to come back to year after year.”
