The Goleta Design Review Board next week is set to consider amendments to a previously approved medical clinic in western Goleta.

Story poles outline the proposed Storke Medical Center project, a 39,770-square-foot, two-story medical clinic building at 6975 Santa Felicia Drive, near Ice in Paradise.

The updated proposal includes a 1,230-square-foot childcare building and a 1,500-square-foot outdoor play yard for employees’ children, according to city officials.

The Storke Medical Center development plan was approved in 2023. Its original proposal included a pair of two-story, 18,600-square-foot medical office buildings and the childcare facility.

The project’s design and layout were revised based on the services the center would provide, which required a development plan amendment, according to city officials. 

The revised project proposal includes a change from two buildings to one, an increase of 5,320 gross square feet, an increased building footprint, a decrease in total landscaping and eight more parking spaces. 

An additional parking lot would be created on the site, with 75 standard and eight ADA-accessible spots. 

The July 28 meeting is set to start at 3 p.m. and is open to the public for in-person or virtual attendance. It will be held in the Goleta City Council Chambers at 130 Cremona Drive, Suite B.
