LEAP: Learn. Engage. Advocate. Partner invites the community to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Lompoc Children’s Center, 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 5 at Trinity Church of the Nazarene, 500 E. North Ave.

LEAP’s Children’s Center, for youngsters ages three months to five years. will expand Lompoc’s childcare capacity and provide support for working families in the area.

Speakers at the event include Lori Goodman, LEAP’s executive director; Travis Caldeira, Trinity Church of the Nazarene’s lead pastor; and elected officials.

A barbecue lunch will be served at noon, and there will be tours of the Children’s Center Tours.
