The new Daytime Navigation Center for people experiencing homelessness, the Fostering Access, Resilience, and Opportunity (FARO) Center, will be hosting a ribbon cutting, 4-5 p.m. June 24 at 621 Chapala St., Santa Barbara.
The center opens its doors June 25.
The program will feature four speakers, including city of Santa Barbara staff members and elected officials. After the ribbon-cutting, there will be time for attendees to explore the center and get light refreshments.
The FARO Center will offer a one-stop shop for unhoused people and those experiencing housing insecurity.
Clients will have access to organizations and volunteer groups providing case management, assistance with obtaining documents necessary to secure housing, housing referrals, workforce development, life-skill building, job search assistance, health care, and mental health support.
By providing these services in a safe and welcoming environment, the FARO Center will help individuals take steps toward finding and successfully remaining in stable housing.
To attend the event, RSVP at sbact.org/farocenter. The entrance to the center is on Chapala Street. Attendees are asked to park on the street or in the parking garages at 716 Chapala St. and 641 Anacapa St.
