San Marcos High School’s Vocal Music Department will present its first Pop Show, featuring songs from the ’90s and early 2000s, 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 24 in the school’s Marquis Performing Arts Center, 4750 Hollister Ave.

Students will perform renditions of popular hits from such artists such as Sting, Selena, Spice Girls, Nirvana, and Radiohead; songs from iconic musicals like “RENT,” “Jekyll & Hyde” and “Little Women;” and movie favorites from “Titanic,” “Hercules,” “Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Sister Act 2,” and “Newsies.”

Proceeds from the event will support the San Marcos High School Vocal Music Department.

Tickets are $5 for students, $10 general admission, $8 seniors, and free for kids age 12 and younger. VIP tickets, at $25, include exclusive seating and a goody bag.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for a silent auction featuring a variety of items, including:

Dinner for two with wine pairings at Rosewood Miramar Beach; a round of golf for four with cart fees included at Sandpiper Golf Club; two 60-minute spa treatments at San Ysidro Ranch; a one-night stay at Santa Barbara Inn; Sunday champagne brunch for four at San Ysidro Ranch; and gift certificates from La Sumida Nursery, Creekside, Sama Sama Kitchen, and Evolutions Medical & Day Spa.
