Dos Pueblos sophomore Sagarika Manian, the returning Channel League individual golf champion, again won medalist honors Tuesday with a one-over 36 in a Channel League win over Ventura.
Chelsi Ramirez and Victoria Chen were right behind with a 39 and 40, respectively, at Glen Annie Golf Club for the Chargers’ 232 to 298 win.
“Sagarika Manain was scorching the course on this very hot day,” Dos Pueblos golf coach Dan Choi said. “She was throwing darts all day … After a long, hot day it was very impressive that she finished her round birdie, birdie.”
“It was a great team performance as we challenged the girls to stay patient in very tough conditions.”
Lorne Rieman paced Ventura with a 45.

“She had good bunker shots and putted well,” Royals coach Sarah Ashton said.
“Playing a new course was a fun challenge.”
Sadi Adams finished with a 51, finishing with a par 3 on No. 9.
The Royals take on Bishop Diego on Thursday.

Santa Barbara’s Lauren Fitzgerald took medalist honors Tuesday at River Ridge Golf Club with a 44 to lead the Dons over Oxnard in a Channel League match.
Fitzgerald parred holes 3 and 9 in the round. Jasmine Zukor and Maizie McKnight both shot 47. Zuker parred holes 2, 3 and 6 while McKnight parred 6.
Also hitting pars for Santa Barbara were Savannah Delesalle, on holes 3 and 6, and Ava Karman, on holes 6 and 9.
“I recognize each golfer’s perseverance on a very hot day,” Dons coach Ryan Throop said.
Santa Barbara is 1-1 overall and 1-0 in league play.
