San Marcos baseball pulled out a tight 3-2 Channel League win over Oxnard High on Wednesday at Joe Mueller Field.
The Royals (13-8, 7-2 Channel League) remained in sole possession of first place in the league standings with the victory.
David Burkholder turned in a strong start on the bump for San Marcos, while Miles Herbert came in to shut the door on the win.
Offensively, Patrick Foster led the way by going 2-for-3, while Levi Monson, Quinn Melton, Diego Alvarez and Landon Johnson contributed as well.
The Royals will be on the road for a non-league game against Granada Hills on Wednesday.
