After a stellar regular season, San Marcos boys beach volleyball kicked off the Pacific League Playoffs with a win over Palos Verdes on Tuesday.
The Royals followed up a Channel League championship with a 3-0 sweep at Sallie and Rich Ridgway Sand Volleyball Courts.
With the win, San Marcos advanced to a semifinal matchup against Redondo Beach High on Wednesday in Ventura.
In Tuesday’s battle, the top Royal pairing of Matteo Burdick and Keanu Nguyen won in straight sets to lead the charge.
Meanwhile, the duos of Ayden Welch/Calvin Frisell and Tyler Walker/Andrew Teal earned three-set victories.
