San Marcos boys lacrosse dropped a non-league matchup with Simi Valley by a score of 11-7 on Wednesday in Simi Valley.
The Pioneers got out to a fast start, leading 4-0 in the opening half. However, the Royals clawed back thanks to strong performances from Julian Weinstein and Preston Fehr.
San Marcos cut the deficit down to two goals at one point, but Simi Valley regained control in the second half and pulled out the 11-7 win.
Weinstein and Fehr each tallied multi-goal performances in the loss.
The Royals (2-2) will take on Newbury Park for another non-league game on the road on Friday.
