The San Marcos girls beach volleyball pairing of Cora Loomer/Evyn Miller and Dos Pueblos track & field’s Cullen Gully impressed last week en route to Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table Athlete of the Week honors.

The trio was honored at Monday’s SBART Press Luncheon at Harry’s Plaza Cafe.
Loomer and Miller capped off a stellar regular season by going 6-0 last week on their way to a Channel League Individual Pairs Tournament championship.

Meanwhile, Gully turned in a historic performance at the Mt. San Antonio College Relays, beginning with placing third in the mile race with a time of 4:13.91.
He followed that up by breaking a 45-year-old Dos Pueblos program record in the 800-meter race with his time of 1:54.13.
The boys honorable mentions were Liam Shea (DP Baseball), Quinn Melton (SM Baseball), JJ Mercier (Bishop Baseball), Hayes Costner (SB Volleyball), Kristian Dybdahl (SB Volleyball), Maddox Denver (SB Volleyball) and Rafael Cintura (Carp Volleyball).
