San Marcos girls golf remained undefeated in Channel League play with a strong win over Ventura High on Wednesday at Sandpiper Golf Course.
The Royals (7-1, 4-0 Channel League) ended the day with a team score of 272, while the Cougars shot a combined 316 on the par-36 course.
While Ventura’s Oakley Moran was the medalist at 46, Mia Rocha paced the winning Royals with her score of 47.
Rocha was followed by teammates Simrin Singh (48), Sierra Kaderali (53), Cana Spieker (62), Luccia Macaluso (62) and Hayden Anderson (64).
“Sierra Kaderali has been a consistent competitor and scorer for the team this season,” San Marcos head coach Sarah Ashton said. “I am really impressed by how she continues to find the positives in difficult shots or situations and how she is always pushing herself to improve each day.
“Many of the girls are working hard on the mental aspect of their game and doing so with such poise and grace. I’m continually impressed and inspired by this group.”
