San Marcos suffered a 9-3 Channel League softball loss against Rio Mesa on Tuesday at home
The Royals took a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the first on RBIs from Caitlyn Early, Kate Guerra and Charlotte Hastings.
Rio Mesa tied up the score in the second and denied San Marcos after Tiana Monaghan singled in the bottom of the inning.
Spartans scored six more runs.
San Marcos (7-7, 3-4 in league) plays host to Dos Pueblos on Thursday.
St. Bonaventure 7, Bishop Diego 3
Tessa Johansen had three hits and drove in two runs for Bishop Diego’s softball team in a 7-3 loss against St. Bonaventure in a Tri-Valley League game.
The Cardinals had nine hits but were hurt by four errors.
