The San Marcos boys and girls swimmers beat Buena Thursday by similar scores of 119-51 and 188-52, respectively.
Highlights among the boys were double wins by Gavin Tallman, in the 200 yard freestyle (1:51.09) and 100 butterfly (56.02) and Jaran Depew in the 200 IM (2:10.22) and 100 breaststroke (1:03.60). Tallman was also part of the winning 400 free relay team.
Among the girls, Sierra Tallman won the 200 IM (2:11.90) and 100 butterfly (56.02), and was part of the winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay.
Taylor Steelman won the 200 freestyle (1:56.62) and the 100 backstroke (59.22) and freshman Sophie Hall won the 50 freestyle (56.16) and 100 breaststroke (1:06.38).
Santa Barbara
The Dons came up short against Ventura Thursday.
On the boys side, Evan Encell-O-Hara won the 50 and 100 freestyle and helped the medley relay to a win.
Gabriel Gil won the 200 IM and the 100 back and was on the winning medley relay. Ethan Camp was second in the 100 fly and Oliver Kelly finished third in the 200 IM and the 100 breast.
For the girls, Sofia Stevens won the 100 backstroke and finished second in the 50 free. Abby Webber won the 100 free and finished second in the 200 free. Alison Ruiz swam personal best times in both the 200 and 100 free.
