Teddy Vigna shot a 4-under 67 at Glen Annie Tuesday to take medalist honors for Dos Pueblos in a 364-449 Channel League win over Ventura.

Collectively, the five Charger golfers shot just nine over par and had 19 birdies. Vigna had eight of those birdies.

“After the round he was very proud of himself,” Dos Pueblos coach Kevin Ahlers said.

The coach said the par-71 course was “playing long with some windy conditions.

“Before the match the boys came in feeling pretty confident playing at Glen Annie, and they were excited to beat our team low from last year in our second match.”

“I asked the boys to stay mentally focused for 18 holes and their scores provided some great positive reinforcement.”
