The team of Joey and Charlie Friedman swept their sets in leading San Marcos to eight set victories in doubles in a 14-4 season-opening boys tennis win over West Ranch on Wednesday.

The Friedmans lost only two games on the day. The team of Shea Suzuki/Kyle Shaffer also swept their three sets.

In singles, freshman Carter Cotich pushed West Ranch’s No. 1 Jared Admiraal to a tiebreaker before falling 7-4. Cotich won his other two sets.
