San Marcos went on a scoring barrage in their first two games at the Villa Park Girls Water Polo Tournament on Thursday night.
The Royals pumped in 37 goals in defeated Alta Loma and Valhalla of San Diego to advance to the quarterfinals.
Naomi Enright scored five goals and had three assists in a 19-5 win over Alta Loma. Goalie Lauren Schweitzer made seven blocks.
She had eight blocks in an 18-7 victory over Valhalla. Lucy Haaland-Ford and Charlotte Raisin each had hat tricks to pace the offense.
“We had a great opening day, the girls were very good defensively and
that laid a great foundation for the offense to build off of,” said coach Chuckie Roth.
The Royals (2-1) play Santa Margarita in the quarterfinals at 6 p.m.
