Henry Herrera gave San Marcos an early lead only to have host San Luis Obispo answer with five unanswered touchdowns en route to a 56-28 non-league football win over the Royals on Friday night.
The Tigers led 35-7 before San Marcos got on the scoreboard again on a 32-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ben Partee to Josh Brown before halftime.
San Luis Obispo tallied two more scores in the third quarter to go up 49-14.
Brown caught a 12-yard pass from Partee and Herrera had a 3-yard TD run to complete the scoring for San Marcos.
