Eight different San Marcos players scored goals in a 12-0 win over Santa Barbara High in a crosstown boys lacrosse game on Thursday night at Warkentin Stadium.

Senior midfield specialist Justin Nunez was awarded one of the game balls for San Marcos for his numerous face-off wins, excellent ball handling, two goals and an assist, said coach Rich Lehman.

A second game ball was awarded to Jack Huffman for his defensive and transition play and creating offense.

Lehman said that Santa Barbara goalie Max Barton played a strong game.

The win kept San Marcos unbeaten against its local rivals for the past six years.
