San Marcos celebrated Senior Day by defeating Arroyo Grande 13-5 on Wednesday to finish the regular season with a perfect 13-0 record.
The Royals started all four seniors, Alex Wilson, Jayden Duncan, Sam Herbst and Ashton Welty.
In singles, Masato Perera and Matthew Chung went 3-0 and Jed Greenwald 2-0.
Duncan went 2-0 in doubles paired with Ronin Suzuki and 1-0 teamed with Wilson.
“Jayden has been improved a ton in his three years at San Marcos,” Royals coach Jarrod Bradley said. “His forehand, serve, volleys, and overheads are forces to be reckoned with. It’s been fun watching him compete. He and Alex Wilson were all over the court today volleying and setting each other up for easy points.”
The Royals will learn their draw in the CIF-SS Division 1 team playoff Monday and will represent the Channel League as the first place team.
