The San Marcos softball team dropped two games Saturday at the Camarillo Tournament, to Oxnard 9-7 and Canyon 8-3.
In the first game, Kamilah Morales was 2-for-3 with two RBI for the Royals. Gracie Verdugo hit a towering home run to right field and walked twice, once with bases loaded, also getting two RBI in the game.
Morales again went 2-for-3 with two RBI against Canyon — both runs coming on a line-drive home run to center field in the first inning. Verdugo hit two singles in the game.
The Royals are now 9-10 on the season, and 7-2 in Channel League play. The play at Santa Barbara on Tuesday.
