Emmett Haggerty and Nic Prentice each scored three goals for San Marcos in a 15-8 victory over Canyon Crest in the 13th-place game at the Long Beach Tournament.
Jordan Lind and Luke Burns added two goals apiece.
The Royals jumped out to a 5-1 win and never trailed in the game.
San Marcos earlier routed Yorba Linda 18-4, as Prentice scored four goals and Luke Burns, Hudson Mcleod and AJ Scarborough each tallied three.
‘Tough day one bracket knocked us to the bottom of the tournament, finishing 13th overall on day two,” said coach Peera Sukavivatanachai.
The Royals (2-2) open Channel League play Tuesday at home against Oxnard.
