San Marcos’ Jeffrey Forster took medalist honors with a 35 over nine holes at Santa Barbara Golf Club to lead a 189-258 Channel League win over Lompoc Tuesday.

Holdt Gore shot a 36 for the Royals. Isaac Velasquez was low scorer for Lompoc with 45.

San Marcos is now 7-1 in league play and 10-1 overall.

“We were able to get a couple different players into the match today and we had great results across the board,” San Marcos coach Jeffrey Ashton said.

“Jeffrey Forster had two birdies and a bogey to earn Medalist honors with a 35, Holdt Gore recovered from a double bogey on hole 7 and finished with two birdies to shoot an even par 36.  Sawyer Ricci played in his first varsity match and rounded out the counting scores with a 42.”

Santa Ynez’s Rye Winans took medallist honors with an 87 in tough conditions at Mission Club Tuesday to lead a 467-482 Channel League win over Cabrillo.

With the win, the Pirates clinched third place in the league.

Luke Radabaugh was low scorer for Cabrillo with 93.
