The National Weather Service is tracking a strong winter storm for the Central Coast, Tuesday, Dec. 23-Friday, Dec. 26, with high to very high rainfall totals, along with accompanying high winds in the forecast.


To help reduce residential water damage, sandbags will be available at Lompoc City Fire Department’s Station 51: 115 S. G St.

Residents are also encouraged to sign up for continued updates regarding the storm via ReadySBC alerts.

Residents can also sign up to “know their zone” via the county’s Genasys emergency mapping tool found on the ReadySBC site.
