The Santa Barbara Athletic Round Table will celebrate the year in sports at its annual Evening with the Athletes Event on Monday, June 1.
The event, which is free and open to the public, will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Marjorie Luke Theater and is sponsored by UCLA Health and The Lab. KEYT’s Mike Klan and Noozhawk’s Diego Sandoval will serve as the Masters of Ceremonies.
SBART will reveal the Athletes of the Year for every local high school and college sports, scholarship recipients and other special award winners.
The organization will also honor the local high school teams that won CIF-SS championships, a list that currently sits at an impressive seven squads.
The Evening with the Athletes event will also mark the end of Bryan Cornet’s two-year tenure as SBART president. He will be replaced by Gabe Grandcolas, who currently serves as the CFO of SBART.
