Santa Barbara Botanic Garden invites the community to celebrate its centennial with The Beer Garden, its signature fundraising event, Saturday, March 14 during the Botanic Garden’s 100th birthday weekend.

“As the Garden’s primary annual fundraiser, every dollar raised supports core programs in environmental education, conservation and research, and native plant horticulture — helping protect California’s landscapes for generations to come,” organizers said.

The Beer Garden is a curated tasting trail through the Botanic Garden’s 5.5 miles of scenic paths, where attendees can enjoy paired beer tastings from the region’s top breweries alongside bites from popular Santa Barbara restaurants. Along the way, there will be acoustic musical performances. 

“Celebrating the Beer Garden during the Garden’s centennial makes this year especially meaningful,” said Matt Kettmann and Sophia Taylor, co-chairs of the Beer Garden event committee.

“It’s a joyful way to bring the community together in support of the Garden’s mission while raising a glass to the next century of conservation, education, and connection to native plants,” they said.
