Santa Barbara High boys water polo came out on top in its matchup against Newbury Park while Bishop Diego fell to Foothill on Tuesday.
Santa Barbara 10, Newbury Park 5
The Dons doubled up Newbury Park in a 10-5 victory on Tuesday.
Santa Barbara started hot, jumping out to a 7-2 lead in the first half thanks to the scoring of Jack Drown and Shane Davis.
Along with Drown and Davis, Will Stearns-Corbin ended the day with a pair of goals. Defensively, Nikita Kolosov had eight saves and three steals.
Next up, the Dons will take on Westlake on Thursday.
Foothill 16, Bishop Diego 4
The Cardinals struggled in a 16-4 loss to Foothill on Tuesday.
Foothill’s offensive attack was led by Turner Stehle, who had 10 of the team’s 16 goals.
For Bishop Diego, senior Noah Peterson scored all four of his squad’s goals to go along with four steals. In the net, sophomore Ben Zoltoski tallied 10 saves for the Cardinals.
