An injured hiker was rescued from Nojoqui Falls Park on Saturday morning.
Santa Barbara County firefighters from Buellton were dispatched to the incident shortly after 11 a.m., Capt. Scott Safechuck said.
Firefighters employed a utility task vehicle, or UTV, to carry fire medics and emergency medical technicians to the scene to render care and extract the patient, Safechuck added.
The man was taken by a ground ambulance to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital for treatment.
Safechuck said the county Fire Department has 11 UTVs in its fleet to help crews access remote areas.
