A rock climber who was injured in a fall was rescued Sunday afternoon in the mountains above Santa Barbara.
Personnel from the Santa Barbara County Fire Department and Santa Barbara City Fire Department were dispatched to the scene on Gibraltar Road east of Gibraltar Rock just before 5 p.m.
The county Air Support Unit’s Copter 3 also responded to the incident.
A 20-year-old female fell while rock climbing, county fire officials said.
The patient was taken by the helicopter to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital with moderate injuries related to the fall.
