The Santa Barbara Foresters erupted for a 22-2 rout of the Arroyo Seco Saints on Tuesday at Jackie Robinson Field in Pasadena.
After two scoreless innings to begin the contest, the Foresters opened up the floodgates with three runs in the top of the third and never looked back en route to the lopsided win.
In fact, the Santa Barbara offense poured on six runs in the fourth inning, two in the fifth, three in the sixth, three in the seventh and five in the ninth to round out the win.
Kurt Ippolito (Central Christian) and Sawyer Farr (Texas A&M) each belted homers in the win, with Ippolito driving in three runs and scoring twice from the leadoff spot.
Meanwhile, Carter Rutenbar (Arkansas), Caleb Hoover (Nebraska), Cole Chamberlain (Coastal Carolina), Zane Becker (Texas A&M), Chris Newstrom (Tennessee) and Brady Janusek (Baylor) all recorded two-hit performances.
Janusek reached base four times, driving in three runs and scoring three times, while Chamberlain came around to score four times and tallied two RBI.
Rutenbar, Hoover and Becker all collected two RBI as well, with Becker crossing home three times in the victory.
Jack Fowler (Pepperdine) started on the bump for the Foresters, allowing just two hits and two walks in four scoreless frames.
Henry Prindl (Creighton) and Will Jordan (Texas Tech) each handled two innings out of the bullpen, and Carter Speights (UC Davis) closed it out with a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth.
The Foresters end June with an impressive record of 18-3 and will now take on the Conejo Oaks on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Ventura College.
