The Santa Barbara Foresters stayed hot with a 14-1 rout of the Philippines Baseball Group on Wednesday at Eddie Mathews Field.

The ‘Sters have now won 11 games in a row and have scored double-digit runs in four of the victories. Santa Barbara (15-1) will take on its rival San Luis Obispo Blues on Thursday back at Eddie Mathews Field at 4:30 p.m.

After two scoreless innings to begin Wednesday’s contest, the Foresters dropped five runs in the bottom of the third and never looked back en route to the lopsided win.

Tanner Grove (Cal) turned in a dominant start for Santa Barbara, racking up 12 strikeouts while allowing just one run on two hits in five innings of work.

He was relieved by Grady Westphal (Texas), who totaled five strikeouts in his two perfect innings of work. Mason Crang (Fordham) and Joey Wittig (Louisiana Tech) rounded out the win with scoreless frames.

Offensively, Josh Woodworth (Pepperdine) was in the middle of the action all day by going 4-for-5 and driving in a team-high four runs.

Carter Rutenbar (Arkansas) chipped in two hits and Wylan Nelson (SBCC) came around to score three times, while Joseph Sandusky (Texas A&M) and Christian Turner (Arkansas) each drove in two runs and scored twice.
