The Santa Barbara Foresters rolled to a 19-2 rout of the Conejo Oaks on Friday at Eddie Mathews Field.

The Forester (5-1) offense was on fire from start to finish, combining for an impressive 17 hits to run away with the win over the Oaks (3-2).

Conejo actually opened the scoring with a run in the top of the first, but Santa Barbara took the lead for good with a five-run second inning that featured a two-run double by Landon Shaefer (Arkansas) and an RBI single from Caleb Hoover (Nebraska).

The Foresters pulled away with the victory from there, scoring one run in the fourth, four runs in the fifth, two runs in the sixth and rounding out the scoring with seven runs in the seventh.

Makani Nabarro (Hawaii) and Marcus Greis (TCU) led Santa Barbara with three hits apiece, with Nabarro scoring four times and Greis driving in four runs.

Meanwhile, Schaefer went 2-for-3 with three RBI, three runs scored and two walks. Sawyer Farr (Texas A&M), Aidan Camberg (Pepperdine) and Josh Woodworth (Pepperdine) tallied two hits apiece as well in the lopsided victory.

UCSB’s Calvin Proskey delivered five solid innings of work, allowing two runs and striking out four. Meanwhile, Noah Waldeck (Saint Mary’s) and Trent Roach (Cal) each pitched two scoreless innings of relief to finish off the win.

The Foresters will remain at home to take on the Academy Barons on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Eddie Mathews Field.
