The Santa Barbara Foresters dominated from start to finish en route to an 18-0 victory over the Philippines Baseball Group on Wednesday at Eddie Mathews Field.

The Forester pitching staff racked up a whopping 19 strikeouts and the offense rapped out 16 hits to secure the lopsided win and improve to 9-1 on the summer.

After a scoreless first inning, Santa Barbara poured on six runs in the bottom of the second and never looked back.

The Forester bats added a run in the third before plating three in the fourth and five in the fifth to pull away for good. They pushed a run across in the seventh and rounded out the scoring with a three-run eighth.

Hunter Vincent (Texas A&M) struck out 11 batters in five scoreless innings for Santa Barbara, while Carter Speights (UC Davis), Henry Prindle (Creighton), Grady Westphal (Texas) and Caleb Hoover (Nebraska) each tossed shutout innings of relief.

Westphal and Hoover struck out the side in the eighth and ninth innings, respectively, to finish off the win.

The bottom of the order got the job done for Santa Barbara, as the No. 7-9 hitters went a combined 8-for-12 with 11 RBI.

Joseph Sandusky (Texas A&M) had a monster day at the plate from the No. 9 spot in the order, going 4-for-5 with a triple, double, four RBI and one run scored.

Meanwhile, Addison Klepsch (UC San Diego) went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored and Cole Chamberlain (Coastal Carolina) went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, three RBI and two runs scored.

Makani Nabarro (Hawaii) made his impact on the offensive outburst, leading the team with four runs scored. Joshua Woodworth (Pepperdine) also came in to score three times, while Carter Rutenbar (Arkansas) and Brady Janusek (Baylor) each scored twice.

The Foresters will remain at home and take on the San Diego Waves on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Eddie Mathews Field.
