Santa Barbara High and Dos Pueblos were crowned Co-Channel League Boys Lacrosse champions for the 2026 season, budding a new rivalry in town and showcasing the depth of lacrosse talent across the Santa Barbara area.
As a result, the Dons and Chargers dominated the All-League awards and teams, while the Cate Rams and San Marcos Royals pulled in recognition as well.

Santa Barbara High and Dos Pueblos each went 7-1 in league action, with the Dons claiming their first-ever league title and the Chargers winning their third straight. Santa Barbara High head coach John Keogh was awarded the Channel League Coach of the Year for taking the program to new heights.
Dos Pueblos junior attacker Koa Birchim and Santa Barbara High sophomore long stick midfielder Mason Bosma played pivotal roles in their squads’ success and were rewarded as Co-Channel League MVPs.
Birchim scored 27 goals, dished out 26 assists and totaled 70 ground balls, while Bosma recorded 97 ground balls, nine goals and seven assists.
While Bosma controlled the midfield for the Dons, sophomore attacker Flynn Chenoweth paced the team’s offensive attack en route to being named Channel League Offensive Player of the Year.
On the defensive side of the ball, Dos Pueblos junior defender Dean Wendel earned the Channel League Defensive Player of the Year award, while Cate senior goalie Braedo Parker was the Channel League Goalie of the Year.
Dos Pueblos (7-1 CL, T-1st)
The Chargers shared the league lead in All-Channel League First Teamers this season, as Birchim was joined on the top team by senior midfielder Austin Fauver, senior defender Jackson Sillers, junior defender Dean Wendel and junior goalie Kingston Strebel.
The senior tandem of defender Andrew Spencer and midfielders Dylan Wooten, Rohan Wansor and Finn Nelson-Walker capped off their Dos Pueblos careers in style with All-League Second Team campaigns.
Meanwhile, senior attacker Wyatt Fauver, senior long stick midfielder Drew Schultz, sophomore midfielder Julian Lorkovic and freshman midfielder Adam Paredes showcased the present and the future of the program as All-League Honorable Mentions.
Santa Barbara High (7-1 CL, T-1st)
The Dons also collected five All-League First Team members, as Bosma and Chenoweth earned the honors along with senior defender Dane Polchin, senior defender Liam Hickey and freshman attacker Vonn Forrest.
The attacking duo of junior Adam Stern and freshman Parker Mercado shined on the offensive end of the field for Santa Barbara High en route to All-League Second Team selections.
Senior goalie Raul Granados and senior attacker Caden Chessmar made impacts on each end of the field for the Dons and were rewarded as All-League Honorable Mentions.
Cate (4-4 CL, 3rd)
Parker pulled in the Rams’ lone All-League First Team selection after his standout season in the net to help lead the team into the CIF-SS D3 playoffs.
The trio of senior midfielder Oliver Charvel, sophomore midfielder Will Murray and sophomore defender Eman Brine turned in strong seasons as well and picked up All-League Second Team nods.
Senior attacker Tres Davidson rounded out the team’s All-League honors as an All-League Honorable Mention.
San Marcos (0-8 CL, 5th)
Senior attacker Julian Weinstein was the leading force in the San Marcos offensive attack all season on his way to an All-League First Team selection.
Sophomore midfielder Dashel Diraison and freshman defender Riley Moore gave Royals’ fans plenty to look forward to in the next few years with All-League Second Team and All-League Honorable Mention nods, respectively.
