Santa Barbara High baseball dropped its season opener by a score of 6-1 to St. Francis on Friday afternoon at Eddie Mathews Field.

Jack Paskin turned in a strong start for the Dons, tossing four innings and allowing one run on four hits.

Max Weddle, Jetner Welch, James King, Emiliano Ramirez and Paskin each tallied a hit for Santa Barbara.

The Dons will remain at home to host Hueneme on Saturday at 11 a.m.
