Santa Barbara High football took care of business against Channel Islands on Friday, walking away with a 52-0 road win.

The Dons (6-2, 4-1) remain in second place in the Channel League with the win while the Raiders (0-8, 0-6) have yet to find a win this season.

It was dominance early and often for Santa Barbara High, rattling off 37 unanswered points in the first half.

Perhaps more impressive than the score is the fact that the Dons ran just five offensive plays in the first half.

Santa Barbara got three offensive touchdowns in the half thanks to long two touchdown passes by Abel Renteria to Winston Bartley and Tomas Gil and a 15-yard rushing score by Koa Herrera.

The Dons also got a kickoff return for a touchdown by Bartley, a pick-six by Jacob Nevarez and a safety by defensive lineman Zhen Liu.

With a running clock in the second quarter, Santa Barbara High picked up a few more scores along the way, including a 30-yard rushing touchdown by Noah Valeria and a score by wideout Jaden Reath.

When the final whistle sounded, the Dons clinched a 52-0 win.
