NFL Hall of Famer Will Shields is coming to Santa Barbara.
The 12-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman will work with Santa Barbara High and Santa Barbara City College’s football programs before a Meet and Greet from Thursday, June 20 to Saturday, June 22.
Shields will meet with the Vaqueros on Thursday, June 20 before visiting the Dons on Friday, June 21.
Then, Shields will join the Santa Barbara High Football program on Saturday, June 22 to host a youth football camp at Peabody Stadium from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The camp is open to all incoming 4th through 8th-grade student-athletes. Registration is $75, which includes a camp t-shirt and lunch.
It will focus on football skills for all positions while featuring the I.M.F.A.S.T. (In Motion Functional Athletic Strength Training) Program, an intense and effective sports training program that produces fast results.
The program inventor of I.M.F.A.S.T. is local trainer Monte Nash, who will also be a co-camp coordinator. Nash and Shields are hoping to host football camps across the nation, beginning in Santa Barbara.
The camp will also feature Turnbull Tuliaupupu the founder of “Zoo Camps” organized and run in the Los Angeles area.

Following the Saturday camp, Anchor Rose on the Santa Barbara Harbor will host a Meet and Greet with Shields at 5 p.m. Tickets to this event, which includes a silent auction, are $50.
