Santa Barbara High wrestling battled to a 30-29 win in a Channel League dual meet against Oxnard on Tuesday inside JR Richards Gym.
The two teams went back and forth throughout the night, but the Dons’ Sammy Ramirez-Navas and Tristan King came away with pins to put their team over the edge.
The Dons also had several freshmen step up to the varsity level to prevent Oxnard from receiving automatic forfeit points.
Santa Barbara High will now host San Marcos next Tuesday at 5 p.m. for a crosstown dual meet.
