The Santa Barbara Ice Hawks 10U B Gold squad dominated its way to a 2026 Spring Hockey Cup championship last weekend at The Cube in Santa Clarita.
The Ice Hawks rolled to an undefeated record on the weekend and clinched the championship with an 11-0 rout of Team Utah.
“This championship run was a complete team effort,” Ice Hawks head coach Charlie Batsford said. “The players showed incredible determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
“We are proud of the way they competed and represented Santa Barbara hockey.”
The duo of Atlas Gore and Bo Ellis led the charge offensively, as Gore scored a tournament-high 13 goals and Ellis collected 10 goals and nine assists.
On the defensive end, Santa Barbara goaltender Lazar George recorded an impressive four shutouts throughout the tournament run.
The Ice Hawks beat out youth hockey teams from across the western United States on their way to the Spring Hockey Cup title. They will be back in action in the fall for the Southern California Amateur Hockey Association season.
The championship roster included Zak Batsford, Weston Dailey, Niko Delesalle, Bo Ellis, Lazar George, Atlas Gore, Luca LaBarrie, Everett Lee, Ryder Miller, Sofia Oglanian, Wyatt Perry, Brooks Powell, Henry Wood and Alexei Yurcho.
Charlie Batsford was the head coach, alongside assistant coaches Richard George, Tyler Powell and Colby Wood.
