A Santa Barbara man was arrested this week after he allegedly tried to run over his former partner with his vehicle.
Mario Flores Crespo, 23, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of attempted homicide, criminal threats and stalking, according to Santa Barbara Police Department.
On Monday, officers reportedly responded to a domestic disturbance on the 1000 block of Quinientos Street.
Officers learned that Flores Crespo allegedly threatened his former partner and tried to hit them with his vehicle. The man left the scene before police arrived, SBPD officials said.
Flores Crespo was arrested around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the area of Nopal and Montecito streets and was taken into custody without incident, the department said.
Flores Crespo was booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on $1 million bail. He remained in custody as of Wednesday, according to Sheriff’s Office custody records. No criminal charges had been filed in this case as of Wednesday, according to Superior Court records.
