The Santa Barbara Running Association has been a driving force in the local running community since its inception in 1948, and its impact is about to grow even more.

For the first time ever, SBRA will be offering grants to local South Santa Barbara County Run Clubs and Run Teams.

The grant will provide two clubs or teams in the area with $1,000 each to support their members and their goals.

SBRA is encouraging these teams to use the grant money to generate new team members, purchase team shirts and gear, enter races, pay for travel expenses to races or cover any special event costs.

On top of the grants, SBRA will also be launching the Island Foxes Youth Track Club in the Spring of 2025.

SBRA is a non-profit that has worked with local racers for years. The organization sponsors first-class races, free community runs and special events, including the Santa Barbara Half Marathon.
