Eric Anthony pitched a brilliant game for the Santa Barbara High baseball team, throwing a 5-0, two-hitter against Rio Mesa on Tuesday in a Channel League game at Eddie Mathews Field.
The right-hander struck out two and allowed only one walk in leading the Dons to their third straight league win.
The Dons scored in the first inning as Zeke Adderley drew a bases-loaded walk. Dane Dawson, who was hit by a pitch to start the inning, scored.
Santa Barbara added three runs in the second inning. Zane Lee-Paulick singled home Jetner Welch and Michael Firestone hit a two-run triple, driving in Dawson and Lee-Paulick. Kai Mault had a RBI single in the fourth.
Dawson, the Dons’ leadoff hitter, scored three runs in the game.
