Local 9-year-old soccer standout Luke Azoury took his talents to Mexico for the Copa Franja 2025 Tournament in Puebla last week.

Azoury, who plays for the Santa Barbara Soccer Club 2016 Elite team, helped lead his Arzo Club team to a championship victory at Estadio Cuauhtémoc.

The Arzo Club team welcomed Azoury with open arms, connecting with him in English, in Spanish and through the game of soccer.

Azoury was also able to connect on a stronger level with his family, which has roots in Mexico.
